2015 Website

Website Redesign

Books are a uniquely portable magic. —Stephen King

Celebration

I’M PROUD TO announce the release of the newly redesigned Perdition Games website! Designer Mike Doyle gathered reader feedback and created an interactive website that reflects those ideas. Thanks to everyone who offered thoughts & opinions, your participation was priceless.

In addition to adding social media feeds, an Amazon review panel shows on the book pages, with easy links to read additional editorial and consumer reviews. In anticipation of the third book’s release—Red Rover, Perdition Games—we’ve combined the books onto a single page with the option of clicking a cover to continue reading. You have the choice to view and save a PDF excerpt of the first thirty pages of each novel.

The biggest change, of course, is the addition of the blog, books I review, and the featured author segment. I’m very excited about the featured author section and am speaking with some wonderful Indie and Small Press writers. Customized questions highlight the featured book, and reading the authors’ answers are a lot of fun. Novelists are a creative bunch. The first interview is with U.S. author Joseph Hirsch. We’ll be discussing Flash Blood, a mystery-thriller with a dash of horror that received 4* stars from San Francisco Book Review and 4.5* from me. Watch for it on Monday October 19th.

Upcoming blogs include tips & hints on writing, publishing, and promoting. I claim to be an expert on none, but want to share my challenges and solutions with others. This is an industry where it’s easy to get lost in the forest. When I decided to try Indie publishing for Skully, Perdition Games, I kept slamming into a tree that seemed impossible to circumvent. Fantastic online resources offered light in the darkness that helped me navigate to the right path. Joanna Penn at The Creative Penn  has brilliant resources in the way of blogs, podcasts, and webinars. If you’re an aspiring author, check-out her site. Maybe we can coax her to do a guest blog.

We’re running a Goodreads’ giveaway for a two-book bundle. You can enter here Simon Says, Perdition Games and here Skully, Perdition Games. The giveaway runs until October 25th. The monthly website contest to win a FREE autographed copy of a book and a Perdition Games device stand will continue. If you’re interested, go to the contact page and request to enter. Draws take place on the 15th of each month and the winner receives an email to request shipping details. I NEVER spam or share email addresses. Before the July 1st launch of the Red Rover, Perdition Games, 10 people randomly selected from the email list receive an autographed advance reading copy (ARC), 25 people receive FREE eBooks, and one lucky winner receives a FREE Kindle eReader. You’ll hear more about that in May next year.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope you return next week to read the Featured Author Segment with author Joseph Hirsch.

Happy reading, Lori
